Applications for the 2025 UNESCO China Fellowship are now being accepted. The Republic of China and UNESCO together sponsor this fully funded fellowship. It is called the UNESCO/China Co-Sponsored Fellowships Program for this reason. There are 75 fellowships available for researchers and students in total. Pursuing a master's or doctoral degree program at a Chinese university or conducting individual research in China under designated supervisors is the aim of the UNESCO China Fellowship. Applications from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Arab world are invited, and there is no application fee for this program. September 2025 will mark the beginning of the academic period. This scholarship is fully funded by UNESCO and China.

Applicants for the General Scholar program must be under 45 years old and have completed high school.
Candidates for the Senior Scholar program must be under 50 years old and possess a Master's degree or an equivalent academic status.
Proficiency in English is necessary.
Candidates for master's degrees must be under 35 and hold a bachelor's degree.
Doctoral candidates must be under 40 years old and hold a master's degree.
