Objective
Through this scholarship program, you have the chance to pursue a postgraduate or continuing education program in architecture in Germany. Additionally, the scholarships encourage networking and experience sharing among coworkers.
Duration of the funding
Master's degree program:
- Depending on how long your selected project or study program is, it could take anywhere from 10 to 24 months.
- Commencement: typically on October 1st of the year after application, or earlier if a German language course is taken before the study program beginning
- The scholarships are given out for as long as the selected study program's normal study time, which is up to 24 months. In your application, please provide the whole time frame for which you would like to seek for financing. For instance, you must specifically state in your application that you would like the scholarship to last two years if you intend to enroll in a two-year degree program. Following the first academic year, Your academic performance will be evaluated during a subsequent funding process. Selection
- Following the upload of your application materials to the DAAD portal, a formal check will be conducted by the DAAD. The completeness of the application and its compliance with the requirements will be examined. You will be required to give samples of your work if this is the case.
- Scholarships in architecture are decided by a special DAAD committee composed of professors from German universities. Written applications and work examples must be presented in order for the decision to be made.

Admission to the University
- Admission to one of the host universities is not always assured by the confirmation of a scholarship. Scholarship recipients may or may not be offered a spot at the particular university. In most situations, candidates must take an entrance exam. Kindly inquire about the admission requirements (refer to the information under "Language skills"), application deadlines, and interview dates at the university of your choice as soon as possible. Keep in mind that these dates may be several months prior to the commencement of your studies or even before the scholarship is awarded by the DAAD. The admission exam charges are above our means. If the DAAD extends a scholarship offer to a candidate but is not accepted into any of the universities listed on the application, he or she is not eligible to use the previously granted scholarship.
