Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2025 in the UK

Students have a fantastic opportunity to pursue their higher education in the UK for free through the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2024–25. This fully-funded UK scholarship is intended for the most gifted, exceptional, and prospective students who would not otherwise be able to travel to the UK to pursue their studies. The goal of the Commonwealth master's scholarships is to attract highly qualified applicants from lower-income, lower-developed, and lower-middle-income Commonwealth nations. The scholarships are awarded with consideration for accessibility to underprivileged populations, a reward of achievement, and the assurance of advancing equity and inclusion.

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission oversees and administers the primary UK Government Scholarships, and this Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Program falls under its purview. Nonetheless, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office actively sponsors the CSC, which is an executive and independent entity. The CSC's primary goal is to carry out the UK government's objective and forward its vision for the Commonwealth Nations' continued development.

Benefits

The grant provided by the CSC would cover the entire cost of tuition.

There will be a ticket for the return flight.

There will be a £1,378 monthly stipend available.

A stipend of £1,690 per month will be provided to students enrolled at universities in the London Metropolitan region.

There will be a warm clothing allowance.

If necessary, the institution will cover the expense of the thesis. (CSC-funded)

A travel grant will be awarded to cover study-related expenses. The trip may take place abroad or in the United Kingdom.

The required tuberculosis test expenses will be covered.

The cost of the visa will be covered.

You will receive the £590 monthly first child allowance if you are a single parent, widowed, or divorced. Additionally, if you have a second or third child, you will receive £146 per month. The kids had to be younger than sixteen.

After a thorough inspection and assessment, a specific disability award will be given if you are disabled.

Eligibility/Qualification

The applicant must be a citizen of one of the qualifying Commonwealth nations or have received refugee status from one of those nations.

Candidates who are listed as British Protected Persons are eligible to apply.

The applicant must reside in a Commonwealth nation on a permanent basis.

A first-class honors degree or at least an upper- or lower-second-class grade is required of the candidate.

A suitable postgraduate degree, typically a master's degree, is required of the candidate.

Beginning in September 2025, the applicant must be able to study in the UK.

The applicant cannot have worked or studied in the UK or any other high-income nation for a full academic year.

Without a Commonwealth grant, the candidate must be unable to attend a university in the United Kingdom.

Every university has its own standards and eligibility. Make sure you meet all of the requirements set forth by the UK university and adhere to the deadline.

Request via email that the university recommend you for the scholarship without an English language test if the university does not require an English competence certificate.

Candidates for the fellowship must be nominated by UK universities.
